Arts & Creatives content policy

Free portfolio profiles, published instantly. Here is what we ask in return, how selling works, and exactly how moderation works.

Free, forever

Show your work, sell if you want to

Every Arts & Creatives profile is free and published instantly — no approval queue, no article quotas, no tiers to unlock. Instead of metering you, we moderate. This policy is the whole agreement: what belongs on your profile, how optional sales work, and what happens if the rules are broken.

What belongs on your profile

  • Your own artwork, music, photography, writing, or craft
  • Behind-the-scenes process, sketches, and works in progress
  • Show, gig, exhibit, and open-studio announcements
  • Commission info and pricing for your own work
  • Collaborations you are personally part of

The rules

Only post work that is yours

Every piece you publish must be your own creation, or something you have clear rights to share. Reposting someone else’s work as your own is not allowed.

No spam, scams, or misleading sales

Be honest about price, condition, and delivery. Don’t pressure buyers to pay outside of the platform’s escrow checkout when it’s offered on a work.

Keep it appropriate for a public, all-ages directory

Tri-Cities Board is browsed by neighbours of every age. Explicit, violent, or hateful content is never allowed, regardless of artistic intent.

Respect consent in photos and collaborations

If a work depicts identifiable people who aren’t you, make sure you have their consent — and a parent or guardian’s consent for anyone under 19.

How selling works

Selling is entirely optional and off by default. When you mark a work Fixed Price and turn on checkout, buyers pay through the platform's secure escrow: funds are held until you confirm delivery, then released to you minus a flat 12% platform fee. Mark a work Open to Offers instead to have buyers message you directly and arrange your own terms — no fee, no escrow.

You can also opt any work into the Marketplace under the Creatives category for extra visibility — that mirror is entirely your choice and can be turned off at any time.

Everyone buying or selling on Tri-Cities Board must be 13+. Always meet in public for local pickup, verify items before paying, and avoid sharing personal delivery details publicly.

How enforcement works

We do not remove profiles or works without warning, and we do not hand out strikes for honest mistakes. When content breaks a rule above, it earns a content strike and you always hear why.

1

We flag the content

A moderator removes or unpublishes the item and explains why by email. Nothing else about your profile changes.

2

Second strike is a warning

A written warning with the specific issue to fix. Your profile and everything else you’ve published stay live.

3

Publishing pauses at 3 strikes

Your profile stays public and your existing works stay up, but new posts are paused until we talk it through with you.

Strikes can be reviewed and lifted. Reply to the moderation email or write to admin@tricitiesboard.org and a person will look at it again.
