HOMES & SPACES · SAFETY GUIDE

See the place. Know who’s behind it. Then sign.

Everyone on Homes & Spaces passes a one-time photo-ID check through Stripe: advertisers before a listing goes up, and you before you contact one. It confirms the person, not the property.

Something off? Report it

Report sits on every listing, with reasons made for homes: an advertiser who can’t be verified, a discriminatory ad, a licence claim that isn’t true. People at Tri-Cities Board read every report.

Messages stop the words scams useBefore a message about a listing goes, Messages checks it. A code, an overpayment, a release fee, gift cards or crypto, a bank login: it pauses and says why.
Try one:

If money, property or account access was lost

  1. Call your bank, payment provider or card issuer now.
  2. Keep the messages, receipts, usernames, numbers and links.
  3. Report to local police for a file number. Call 9-1-1 for immediate danger.
  4. Report to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre, and tell the Board with Report.
